I have been working in theatre for six years. I have experience in all the fields of theatre, be it writing, directing, acting, designing, music, set, costume, make up and even organizing. I am training at Vijayanagara Bimba. I have been awarded the prestigious Karnataka Balavikasa Academy, Dharwad’s ‘Bala Gaurava Prashasti’ in the year 2018. I was the youngest to receive the ‘Ranga Vasantha’ honour in the CGK National Theatre Festival 2018 which aims to introduce the young theatre talents. I have written and directed 5 short plays and the full-length children’s drama written by me was selected by the Department of Kannada And Culture to be staged at 10 different locations. Apart from these I have attended 2 state level camps regarding script writing- One organised by the Makkala Sahitya Parishat and the other my Department of Kannada and Culture. Right now, I am doing a diploma course in theatre at Vijayanagara Bimba. I wish to further pursue my theatre education at the National School of Drama. I wish to utilize my creativity and innovatively in setting new trends and standards in the Indian Theatre. I also want to build my own theatre and an amateur theatre troupe to experiment different types of scripts in different designs. The NIAS-Maiya Prodigy Mentorship Programme will help me in adding to the exposure I already have towards theatre and will widen my theatre contacts.
