Student Profile Detail

I want to pursue a career in medicine in the field of Neuro science and make the treatment affordable for common man. I would like to continue music and enhance its application in the field of medicine. My immediate aim is to clear NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and secure a seat in medicine in a reputed college. I also hope to pursue music diligently. In my free time, I read Neuroscience articles in newspaper and on the internet. I also like to watch the American TV medical drama, ‘House M.D’. Some of my achievements so far: Pursuing Carnatic music since the age of 5, I have secured 90% in the senior music exam and currently practicing for Vidwath. I have participated and won several Carnatic music competitions such as securing a place in the quarterfinals of the Sangeeth Yatra, been a semifinalist in the Times of India Geeth Sangeeth program. In Academics I have stood first in high school for 3 consecutive years and secured the 10th rank in the SSLC board exams. The NIAS – Maiya prodigy mentoring programme will help me tap expert’s knowledge and use resources in tweaking my actions towards achieving my goal. I will have the opportunity to discuss and translate knowledge into actions through my projects. This fellowship will allow me to develop my ability to conduct research and publish papers.
